LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Kathryn Nana Baker Hegler, age 87, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016. She was born September 20, 1928 in Chester County, a daughter of the late Julian Earl Baker and Alma Sanders Baker and was the wife of the late James Mack Hegler. She was a homemaker and a member of Wade Memorial Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Hegler is survived by a son, James Michael Hegler and his wife, Cindy of Lancaster; a grandson, James Kyle Hegler and his wife, Tasha; and one great granddaughter, Olivia Louise Hegler.
Mrs. Hegler was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Julian Baker and Eugene Baker and a sister, Martha Ann Sistare.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Hegler will be 2:00 pm, Friday, February 19, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Pastor Joe Reed. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Friday, at Burgess Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Wade Memorial Presbyterian Church, c/o Sherrill Mullis, 703 Gillsbrook Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or Arista Hospice, Concord Building, 1300 Sumter Street, Suite 200, Columbia, SC 29201.
The family would like to thank the staff of Helms Gordon Residential Care Home for their love and care for Mrs. Hegler.
