LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Kathleen Lucille Sharp made the transition to join her heavenly father on Monday, February 20 ^th , 2023, at the age of 62.  Kathy was introduced to this world on Easter Sunday, April 17 ^th , 1960. While we wished for many more birthday celebrations, her last birthday celebration was on Easter Sunday, April 17 ^th , 2022.

Kathy is remembered for her diverse and active life, both professionally and personally.  An avid reader from childhood and an honors scholar throughout her life led to Associates in Business Administration from the County College of Morris, Bachelor's in Business Administration from Muhlenberg College, Master of Business Operational Excellence from The Ohio State University, and certification as a Lean Six Sigma Master Blackbelt from Villanova University.  Professionally, Kathy spent a career working in healthcare systems, managing, directing, and promoting improvements to systems and processes with the ultimate goal of improving patient care.  She made a difference wherever she was.  This included involvement in every community she lived or worked in.  She was involved in community groups, often organizing and directing activities.

In her leisure time she enjoyed adventures with her husband of 35 years, Thomas Howard Sharp before his accension to heaven April 23 ^rd , 2017.  Together, Kathy & Tom enjoyed their Golden Retrievers Winston & Mitchell as well as traveling throughout the country.  An active person, Kathy enjoyed playing golf, participating in 5K & 10K races, and earned PADI Certification for Advanced Open Water Scuba Diving.

Kathleen is survived by her mother Mary Kathleen Spicer, brothers: Lee, Phillip, Stephen & wife Kimberly, and Andrick & wife Donna, nieces: Ashleigh & husband Ian Cassidy, Brittany, and nephew Nicholas.

She is preceded in heavenly ascension by her husband Thomas Howard Sharp, father Francis Lee Spicer, Golden Retrievers Winston and Mitchell.

A Celebration of Kathleen's life will transpire on March 24 ^th , 2023, at Burgess Funeral Home (1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster South Carolina 29720).  The family will receive guests from 12:00 – 1:00, a celebration service will be held from 1:00 - 1:30 in the chapel.  A repass will be held from 2:00 – 400 in the Tree Tops subdivision clubhouse (2198 Acadia Falls Lane, Lancaster, SC 29720).
