LANCASTER, SC ~ Kathleen Bowers Morgan, age 78, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at her home.  She was the daughter of the late Paul Moore Bowers and Virgie Lee Wright Bowers and was the wife of Marion Franklin Morgan.  Kathleen retired from Springs Industries. She loved her grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, working in her flower garden, and was very proud of her porcelain doll collection.  She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and visiting the mountains and the beach.  She was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Morgan is survived by her husband, Marion "Frank" Morgan; two daughters, Bridgett Marie Smith (Anthony) and Jennifer Michele Montgomery (Tyrone); two sons, Robert Franklin Morgan and Benjamin Paul Morgan (Candis Whitaker); three sisters, Margaret Sulee Catoe, Helen Ann Shehane and Nancy Hilda McGuire; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and three bonus children, Crystal Autry, Kiwanna Sowell and Brandy Murphy-Gardner.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wesley Eugene Bowers and Glen Crawford Bowers.

The Celebration of Life Service for Kathleen will be 11:00 am Friday, May 31, 2024, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Kevin Williams and Michael Burgess. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

The family suggests for those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Agape Hospice.
