LANCASTER, SC:::::Mrs. Kathleen Quinn Brown, age 87, went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 4, 2015. She was born September 21, 1927 in Buffalo, SC, the daughter of the late Charles Washington Quinn and Dorothy Amanda Ward Quinn and was the wife of the late Silas Robert Brown. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Mrs. Brown retired from Springs Industries, was a charter member of Trinity Pentecostal Holiness Church and also a charter member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She taught preschool and Sunday school for over 50 years and served as Secretary/Treasurer of Women's ministries.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her children, a son, Barry Brown and his wife Suzanne and a daughter, Deborah Brown Fowler both of Lancaster; four grandchildren, Allison Brown Johnson and her husband Randy, Holly Brown Phillips and her husband Gary, Angela Fowler Edwards and her husband Mike, and Shanna Fowler Horton; six great grandchildren, Jonathan Fowler and his wife Amanda, Laura Edwards Patterson and her husband Derek, Erin Edwards Waller and her husband Jackson, Justin Horton, Jarod Horton and Kenneth Phillips, and five great-great grandchildren, Lily Grace Patterson, Saylor Brooke Patterson, Elliott Quinn Patterson, Jordan Destiny Fowler and Ariel Dennise Fowler.
Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by a special son in law, Ernest M. Fowler, three brothers, Paul Quinn, Charles Edwards Quinn and Frank Quinn, and three sisters, Geneva Brown, Janett Ledbetter and Inez Quinn.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Brown will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at First Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the church and suggest memorial contributions be made to White Oak Manor, Patient Activity Fund, 253 Craig Manor Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
