LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Kathleen "Kit" Hunter Adams, age 89, passed away Friday, April 19, 2024, at White Oak Manor. She was born October 21, 1934, daughter of the late Marion S. Hunter and the late Hettie Mahaffey Hunter and was the loving wife of the late Marvin Gregory Adams. Mrs. Adams was a God fearing, Christian lady, with a lot of class. She was such a selfless lady who always thought of others before herself. She adored her grandchildren, enjoyed spending time with them, and loved them wholeheartedly. Her grandchildren were her world. She loved being outdoors and working in her flowers, and cooking for her family, as they would gather for Sunday dinners. Mrs. Adams was a lifelong member of Fork Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Adams is survived by her son, Reginald "Reggie" Gregory Adams, and his wife, Abbe; her grandchildren, Dustin Gregory Adams, Jordan Dane Adams, Madison Adams Tate (Ethan), and Chloe Grace Adams; one great-grandchild, Harper Adehlyn Adams; her sister, Justine "Jack" Hunter; her brother, Sonny "Buddy" Hunter (Joanne); her sweetheart, Grady O. Snipes; many special nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Adams; a son, Dennis Gregory "Greg" Adams; a grandson, Heath Colby Adams; two sisters, Christine Love, and Marcene Hall; and four brothers, Edward Hunter, Elmer Hunter, Bruce Hunter, and R.S. Hunter.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Adams will be 3:00 pm Sunday April 21, 2024, at Fork Hill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Dale Walters. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Saturday April 20, 2024, at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fork Hill Baptist Church, 1125 Fork Hill Rd, Heath Springs, SC 29058.
