LANCASTER, SC::::::Mrs. Kate Laney Doster, age 92, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at her home.
She was born August 31, 1922 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Thomas Wilson Laney and Hattie Plyler Laney and was the wife of the late Rev. John Travis Doster. Mrs. Doster was a lifelong member of Wolf Pond Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for 53 years. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid reader.

Mrs. Doster is survived by two sons; Douglas Ray Doster and his wife Libby of Lancaster and Dale Travis Doster and his wife Pamela of Pageland; four grandchildren, Steve Doster, Lamar Doster and his wife Alison of Lancaster, Jessica Courtney and her husband Bobby and Kyle Doster and his wife Miranda of Pageland and six great grandchildren.

Mrs. Doster was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Doster will be 3:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2015 at Wolf Pond Baptist Church by Rev. Mark Evans and Rev. Rod Yow. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Monday in the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of her son, Ray Doster. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Wolf Pond Baptist Church, 78 Wolf Pond Road, Pageland, SC 29728.
