LANCASTER, SC::::::::::Mrs. Kari Lynn Smith Stephens, age 29, died Wednesday, February 3, 2016. She was born March 1, 1986 in Marietta, Ohio, a daughter of Victor Ross Smith and Sharon Sparks Smith and was the wife of Randall Allen Stephens. Kari was employed with BSN Medical, Inc. in Charlotte. She is a graduate of Weddington High School where she had served as Drum Major and Color Guard Captain. She also enjoyed Equestrian Vaulting.

Kari is survived by her husband, Randall Allen Stephens; her parents, Victor and Sharon Smith of Lancaster; her children, Colton Allen Stephens and Aubrae Elizabeth Smith-Helms, both of the home; a sister, Julie Ann Smith and her daughter, Riley Gessner of Monroe, NC and her mother and father-in-law, Rodney and Susan Stephens of Indiana.

Kari was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald and Stella Smith and her maternal grandparents, Flossie and Herbert Sparks.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Kari will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 6, 2016 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Mrs. Tambra Anthony.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Friday evening, February 5, 2016 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.
