LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Kari Joyce, age 80, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her home. She was born May 13, 1938 in Norway, a daughter of the late Reidar Selmer-Olsen and Aasta Selmer-Olsen and was the wife of Adrian MacDonald Joyce. Mrs. Joyce enjoyed flowers, gardening, shopping and watching birds at the many feeders she had. She also enjoyed watching the Panthers and the Denver Broncos play football. Mrs. Joyce loved her grandchildren and spending time with them.

Mrs. Joyce is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Adrian Joyce; a son, Mark Joyce and his wife, Heather; two daughters, Monica Waite and Kiersten Meier and her husband, Christopher; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Joyce will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720 by Rev. Don Waldrop.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to a charity of ones choice for Veterans and/or Law Enforcement.
