LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::Mrs. Karen Threatt Neely, age 61, died Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville. She was born March 26, 1955 in Columbia, a daughter of Edith Blackwell Threatt and the late Zane Maxwell Threatt and is the wife of Tony Lynn Neely. She previously worked at Springs Industries in the Customer Service Department and later retired from Lancaster County School District- North Elementary. Mrs. Neely loved her family, was an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan, and loved spending time at the beach. She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving in the nursery and also the Awana program.

Mrs. Neely is survived by her husband, Tony Lynn Neely; her mother, Edith Blackwell Threatt of Lancaster; a daughter, Meredith Neely Kirk and her husband, David of Heath Springs; two sisters, Kathy Threatt Stepp and her husband, Robbie of Lancaster and Jan Threatt Faile and her husband, Monty of Blythewood; five grandchildren, Bryce Phillips, Reece Kirk, Sam Kirk, Brady Kirk and Kenley Kirk; nieces and nephews, Lindsay Hough, Jamie Stepp, Maxwell Faile and Taylor Faile; and a great niece and nephews, Austin Hough, Zane Hough and Turner Hough.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Neely will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Second Baptist Church by Dr. Brian Saxon and Rev. Larry Helm. Entombment will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park Mausoleum.
