LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. J.W. Moree, age75, died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Lancaster Convalescent Center where he was a resident. He was born September 23, 1934 in Chesterfield, SC the son of the late James Luther Moree and Lena McManus Moree. Mr. Moree retired from Harrison-Wright Construction, was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and served our great country in the United State Army. Mr. Moree is survived by 3 sons, Jerry W. Moree and his wife Jean of Lancaster, Donald Moree and his wife Linda of Kershaw, Jeffery Moree and his wife Donna of Heath Springs, a daughter, Barbara M. Hilton and her husband Tracy of Kershaw, 1 brother, Luther Moree, Jr., 3 sisters, Rose Plyler and Marcine Sowell both of Lancaster, and Mary Plyler of Pageland, 13 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Mr. Moree was preceded in death by a brother, James Lee Moree, and a sister Elizabeth Wright. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Moree will be 4:00 pm, Monday December 21, 2009 at Zion United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 3:00 - 4:00 pm Monday December 21, 2009 at the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions be made to Zion United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 1665 Zion Road, Lancaster SC 29720.The Family will be at the home of Marie Moree, 1815 Whitaker Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
