LANCASTER, SC ~ Julie Annette Hinson Cox, age 56, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2025 in her home, surrounded by her loved ones. Julie was born on September 19, 1968, in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late Jimmy Eulce Hinson and Gail Hinson, and was the wife of Shawn Cox for 33 years.  She was a very involved member of Temple Baptist Church where she loved her church family and taught Sunday School. Julie will always be remembered as a loving mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.

Julie is survived by her husband, Shawn Cox; her two sons, Chrystian Cox and Matthew Cox; her grandchild, Runa Cox; her mother, Gail Hinson; her three sisters, Laura Cox (Mitchell), Amy Berbrich (Jim), and Sherry Hinson; and also many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Hinson.

The Celebration of Life Service for Julie will be 11:00 am Friday, June 20, 2025, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor TJ Roberts, a private inurnment will follow.
