LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::: Mrs. Julie Shehane Wallace, age 87, died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at her home. She was born December 21, 1923 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late William Therlow Shehane and Caroline Robinson Shehane and was the wife of the late E. Carlyle Wallace. Mrs. Wallace was a retired nursing assistant for Marion Sims Nursing Home and Supervisor for Springs Industries and a member of Second Baptist Church. Mrs. Wallace is survived by a son, Mike Wallace and his wife Rosanne of Rock Hill, and a daughter, Linda Caesar and her husband Larry of Columbia, 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.Mrs. Wallace was preceded in death by 7 brothers; Coy, Roddey, Woodrow, Broadus, Therlow, Fred and Bob Shehane, and 3 sisters; Zula Sinclair, Annie Hunter and Etter Mothershed.The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Wallace will be 3:00 pm Sunday, August 14, 2011 at Second Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Helm and Dr. Brian Saxon. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The Family of Mrs. Wallace will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service and suggests memorials to Second Baptist Church, Building Fund, 1426 Great Falls Hwy., Lancaster SC 29720.
