LANCASTER, SC::::::::::Mrs. Julia Morrison Plyler, age 81, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born October 17, 1934 in Chester, a daughter of the late William Edward Morrison and Martha Loucinda Clack Morrison and was the wife of the late Lonnie Carl Plyler. Mrs. Plyler's favorite pastime was visiting friends and family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and sewing. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Plyler is survived by two sons, Lonnie Carl Plyler, II and his wife, Susan, of Lancaster, Samuel Campbell and his wife, Sandy of Indian Land, a daughter, Laura Campbell and her husband, Gary Amsler, a step-daughter, Marsha Ormand and her husband, Joe, a brother William Morrison and his wife, Frances, four grandchildren, J.W. Campbell and his wife, Josianne, Beth Rollings and her husband, Billy, Janie Plyler and Kaytie Plyler; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Smith, Alyssa Rollings, Destiny Smith and Constiance Smith.
Mrs. Plyler was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Gus Campbell, and a grandchild, Shannon Campbell.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Plyler will be 2:00 pm, Monday, December 28, 2015 at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Trent McLaughlin with burial to follow at Camp Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Monday, from 1:00 -2:00 pm, at the church and suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 3052 Taxahaw Road, Lancaster, SC or Lancaster Davita Center, 1100 West Meeting Street, Lancaster, SC 29720.
