LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Judith Ann Taylor Outen, age 80, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at her home.  She was born September 11, 1939, the daughter of the late Howard Thomas Taylor and Kathleen Baker Taylor and was the wife of Marion Outen.  Mrs. Outen retired from Barnett Medical where she worked as an LPN.  She was very devoted to her work as a nurse.  She enjoyed going shopping, reading, and going to the beach.  Mrs. Outen loved to cook and handed down many of her recipes to her children.  She loved her family greatly and enjoyed her time with them.  Mrs. Outen was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she worked with the youth and was a choir member.  She loved music and singing.

Mrs. Outen is survived by her husband of 62 years, Marion Outen; a son, Jody Outen (Renee); two daughters, Melinda Hardin (Sonny) and Julie Outen (Michael Powers); six grandchildren, Allen Short, Katye H. Zekoski (Alan), Leanne Mangum (Jimmy McManus), Molly Hardin, Bethany Outen and Evan Hardin; one great grandchild, Landon McManus; a brother, Thomas "Tom" Taylor (Tom Garrett); and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Outen was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Richard Howard Taylor.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Outen will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Immanuel Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Tim Anderson.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lancaster, 901 W. Meeting St., Ste 201, Lancaster, SC 29720; Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W.,
