LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Juana Melchor Prado, age 51, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born July 16, 1972, in Vera Cruz, Mexico, the daughter of Dolores Prado and the late Jose Melchor.  Juana was a very sincere, kind, and helpful lady. She found joy in helping others and being there for people. She loved shopping at Goodwill as it was her mall. She raised chickens and enjoyed cooking. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her grandchildren, she always said they were the love of her life. Juana was a very sincere and helping woman and will be missed dearly.

Juana is survived by her husband, Patrico Lara Solis; her children, Arleth Arroyo Melchor, and her husband, Mariela Arroyo Melchor, and Jesus Arroyo Melchor; her six grandchildren, Briana, Rogelio, Alexis, Jaden, Daniel, and baby girl "Sassy" as her grandma called her, on the way; her mother, Dolores Prado; six sisters; three brothers; and a large extended family whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel Arroyo Melchor; her father, Jose Melchor; and one brother.

The Celebration of Life Service for Juana will be 2:00 pm Thursday, November 30, 2023, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Father Javier Heredia and Pastor Argenis Taveras. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:30 pm, Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Burgess Funeral Home.

LANCASTER, SC ~ La Sra. Juana Melchor Prado, de 51 años, falleció el domingo 26 de noviembre de 2023 rodeada de su familia. Nació el 16 de julio de 1972 en Veracruz, México, hija de Dolores Prado y José Melchor.  Juana era una señora muy sincera, amable y servicial. Encontró alegría en ayudar a los demás y estar ahí para la gente. Le encantaba ir de compras a Goodwill, ya que era su centro comercial. Criaba pollos y le gustaba cocinar. Sus mayores alegrías en la vida eran pasar tiempo con sus nietos, siempre decía que eran el amor de su vida. Juana era una mujer muy sincera y servicial y la echaremos mucho de menos.

A Juana le sobreviven su esposo, Patrico Lara Solís; sus hijos, Arleth Arroyo Melchor, y su esposo, Mariela Arroyo Melchor, y Jesús Arroyo Melchor; sus seis nietos, Briana, Rogelio, Alexis, Jaden, Daniel y la niña "Sassy" como la llamaba su abuela, en camino; su madre, Dolores Prado; seis hermanas; tres hermanos; y una numerosa familia extendida a la que quería entrañablemente.

Le precedieron en la muerte su  hijo, Daniel Arroyo Melchor; su padre, José Melchor; y un hermano.

El Servicio de Celebración de la Vida para Juana será el jueves 30 de noviembre de 2023 a las 2:00 pm en la Funeraria The Chapel of Burgess oficiado por el Padre Javier Heredia y el Pastor Argenis Taveras. El entierro se llevará a cabo en el Lancaster Memorial Park.

La familia recibirá a sus amigos de 6:00 a 8:30 p.m., el miércoles 29 de noviembre de 2023 en la funeraria Burgess.
