LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. J. T. Deason, age 89, of 272 John L. Hudson Road, died Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at his home. He was born September 15, 1920 in Chesterfield County, the son of the late Luther and Lillian Raffaldt Deason and was the husband of Monnie Hudson Deason. Mr. Deason retired as a self employed mechanic, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and served our great country in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Deason is survived by his wife, Monnie Hudson Deason of the home, 2 sons, Larry Deason and his wife Hollis and Richard Deason and his wife Dianne both of Lancaster, 3 grandchildren, Roddney Deason, Tommy Deason, and Carrie Ivey, 5 great grandchildren, Brittaney Deason, Alayna Deason, Bradley Ivey, Devin Deason, and Emma Deason, and 3 sisters, Louise Boone, Alice Reynolds, and Ola Mae Outen. Mr. Deason was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Grady Deason and Ira Deason, and 3 sisters, Annie Deason, Grace Gainey, and Pauline Adams. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Deason will be 11:00 am Friday, November 13, 2009 at Bethlehem Baptist Church by Rev. Reggie Hopkins and Rev. Donald Coppedge with burial to follow in the church cemetery.The Family will receive friends immediately following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church Building Fund, 1841 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
