FORT LAWN, SC ~ Ms. Joyce Helms Todd, age 81, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born April 7, 1941, in Union County, NC, a daughter of the late Horace Hoyle Helms and Nancy Faye Lemmond Curtis. Ms. Todd enjoyed working in her flowers, watching Hallmark movies, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy, cooking and baking, and listening to gospel music. She loved her family dearly and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ms. Todd loved being a member of Springdell Baptist Church and her Sunday School class.

Ms.  Todd is survived by two sons, Larry Keith Todd (Jessica) and Brian Todd (Stacie); two daughters, Beverly Jackson (James) and Suzanne Adams; ten grandchildren, Brandon Helms (Keisha), Lauren Danley (Derek), Trey Jackson (Amber), Jeania Bailey (Ryan), Daren Adams, Ragan Price (Jeremy), Kassie Threatt (Denton), Kara Reid (Graham), Andrew Werckman, and Elizabeth Werckman; ten great grandchildren; a brother, Horace "Sam" Helms (Tommie); a sister, Marie Williams (Doug); and two very special friends, Danny Martin and Marsha Haselden.

Ms. Todd was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Helms; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Todd; her parents; a sister, Barbara Parker; and her step-father, Alvin Curtis.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Ms. Todd will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 30, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Donald Tillman, Rev. Danny Martin, and Rev. Brandon Helms.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service, Burgess Funeral Home.
