LANCASTER, SC :::::::::::Mrs Joyce Ann Hucks, age 70, died July 4, 2012 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte NC. She was born August 23, 1941 in Greensboro NC, the daughter of and Eula Mae Lucas and the late Clayton Gilmore and was the wife of the late Benny Rex Hucks. Mrs. Hucks retired from Lancaster Disabilities where she cared for many people, was a Master Gardner for Cabarrus County and a member of the Yoga Club. Mrs. Hucks is survived her mother, by two sons, Damon Eric Hucks and his wife Dawn, and Benjamin Rex Hucks and his wife Tonia, a brother, Buddy Gilmore, a sister, Janice Fowler and her husband James, and 5 grandchildren, Megan, Meredith, Brandi, Ashley, and Courtney.Mrs. Hucks was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Bearden.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Hucks will be 3:00 pm, Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Hartley-Burgess Funeral Home Chapel. The Family of Mrs Hucks will receive friends after the service at her home and in lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
