FORT MILL, SC ~ Mrs. Josephine Wertz Cranford Steger, age 95, passed away Friday, December 16, 2022. She was born May 16, 1927, a daughter of the late George Cranford and Emily Manley Cranford and was the wife of the late Daniel Steger. Mrs. Steger earned her Bachelor of Nursing degree and was a registered nurse for many years. She was a member of Misah Lutheran Church in Charlotte, NC.

Mrs. Steger is survived by three sons, Michael Steger (Robin), Brian Steger, and Kevin Steger (Bobbie Jo); two daughters, Kathy Fitzgerald (James) and Terry Heisey; and three grandchildren, Barton Steger (Cassie), Johnathan Steger, and Kaitlin Krogh (Josh).

Mrs. Steger was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Steger; her parents; six brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Steger will be interred at Eternal Valley in New Hall, CA at a later date.
