LANCASTER, SC::::::::::Mrs. Josephine Ann Verbair Dougherty, age 72, died Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Hospice of Union County. She was born December 6, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph Verbair and Catherine Malnick Verbair and was the wife of C. J. Dougherty. Mrs. Dougherty was a homemaker and a member of Catawba Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dougherty is survived by her husband of 51 years, C. J. Dougherty; three sons, Bryan Dougherty and John Dougherty both of Ohio and Ralph Dougherty of Texas; a brother, Joseph Verbair of Ohio; and three sisters, Catherine Brown of Ohio, Sue Wilson of North Carolina and Frannie Sluzar also of Ohio.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Dougherty will be 1:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Catawba Baptist Church by Rev. Sean Stroud. The family will receive friends from 12:00 1:00 pm Saturday at the church.
