LANCASTER, SC~ Ms. Maggie Josephine Jordan Benfield, age 90, passed away Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Wayne T. Patrick House in Rock Hill.  She was born August 14, 1931 in Lancaster, SC, a daughter of the late James Lewis Jordan and Thelma McGuirt Jordan.  Ms. Benfield was previously employed with Springs Industries as Payroll Clerk.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Ms. Benfield was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Ms. Benfield is survived by a son, John Larry Benfield of Lancaster; a daughter, Cathy B. Seegars (Jerry) of Fort Lawn; three grandchildren, Andy Benfield (Diana), Micah J. Seegars (Cyndi), and Samantha Davis (Matt); seven great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Mildred Jordan.

Ms. Benfield was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Michael Wayne Benfield; and a brother, Furman Jordan.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Ms. Benfield will be Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00 am at Lancaster Memorial Park.
