KERSHAW, SC :::::::::: Mr. Joseph Daniel Hilton, Jr., age 40, of 8992 Old Jefferson Highway, died Monday morning, June 15, 2009 at his home. He was born September 25, 1968 in Lancaster County, the son of Joseph D. "Danny" Hilton, Sr. and Donna Starnes Byrdic and was the husband of Kimberly Blackmon Hilton. Mr. Hilton was employed with the City of Lancaster and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Mr. Hilton is survived by his wife, Kimberly B. Hilton of the home, his father, Danny Hilton, Sr. and his wife Deb of Kershaw, his mother, Donna S. Byrdic and her husband Chuck of Lancaster, 3 sons, Ryan Daniel Hilton, Chase Jackson Hilton, and John Hunter Hilton, 2 brothers Craig Sumner and his wife Trista of Kershaw, and Josh Byrdic of Rock Hill, 3 sisters, Chandra Hilton West and her husband Kelly of Rock Hill, Dena Newell and her husband Gary of Kershaw, and Rachel Jordan and her husband Timmy of Lancaster, maternal grandparents, Robert and Rosa Lee Starnes of Lancaster and paternal grandmother, Agnes Cauthen of Liberty Hill.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Hilton will be 11:00 am Thursday, June 18, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Todd Robinson with burial to follow at Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The Family of Mr. Hilton will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions to Lancaster Children's Home, PO Box 416, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3737 Victory Road, Kershaw, SC 29720.
