LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Josefa Orellana, age 67, entered her heavenly home on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was born March 19, 1958, in Honduras, the daughter of the late Jesus Carlos-Bautista and the late Fernanda Orellana and was the loving wife of Pedro Antonio Garcia. Mrs. Orellana was a hardworking woman who devoted her life to loving and caring for her family. She made sure that no one ever left her home hungry, welcoming all with warmth and generosity. She found joy in planting vegetables and flowers and spent many peaceful hours crafting. A woman of deep faith, she strongly believed in God and lived her life guided by that faith. She was a cherished wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Orellana is survived by her husband of 33 years, Pedro Antonio Garcia; four sons, Jose Jesus Carols Orellana (Rosalba Carlos), Oscar Orlando Rivera Orellana (Soveyda Yanira Maradiaga), Marvin Humberto Orellana (Alicia Hernandez), and Norman Jouanny Rivera Orellana (Maritza Yamileth Aguilera Tarrez); a daughter, Scarleth Yaneth Rivera (Elvin Gomez); 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother; and three sisters.

She is preceded in death by parents, Jesus Carlos-Bautista and Fernanda Orellana, three brothers and one sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at St. Catherine Catholic Church, 720 W. Meeting Street, officiated by Rev. Father Javier Heredia. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Prior to the service, the family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC

LANCASTER, SC - La Sra. Josefa Orellana, de 67 años, entró en su hogar celestial el Domingo 25 de Enero de 2026. Nació el 19 de Marzo de 1958 en Honduras, hija del difunto Jesús Carlos Bautista y la difunta Fernanda Orellana, y fue la amada esposa de Pedro Antonio García. La Sra. Orellana fue una mujer trabajadora que dedicó su vida a amar y cuidar a su familia. Se aseguró de que nadie saliera de su hogar con hambre, recibiendo a todos con calidez y generosidad. Encontró alegría en plantar vegetales y flores y pasó muchas horas tranquilas haciendo manualidades. Una mujer de profunda fe, creía firmemente en Dios y vivió su vida guiada por esa fe. Fue una querida esposa, madre, suegra, abuela, hermana y amiga, y todos los que la conocieron y amaron la extrañarán profundamente

A la Sra. Orellana le sobreviven su esposo de 33 años, Pedro Antonio García; cuatro hijos, José Jesús Carols Orellana (Rosalba Carlos), Óscar Orlando Rivera Orellana (Soveyda Yanira Maradiaga), Marvin Humberto Orellana (Alicia Hernández) y Norman Jouanny Rivera Orellana (Maritza Yamileth Aguilera Tárrez); una hija, Scarleth Yaneth Rivera (Elvin Gómez); 18 nietos; dos bisnietos; un hermano y tres hermanas.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Jesús Carlos Bautista y Fernanda Orellana; tres hermanos y una hermana.

Se celebrará una Misa de entierro Cristiano a las 2:00 p. m. el jueves 29 de enero de 2026 en la iglesia católica St. Catherine of Siena, 720 W. Meeting Street, oficiada por el reverendo padre Javier Heredia. El entierro se realizará a continuación en el Lancaster Memorial Park

Antes del servicio, la familia recibirá a amigos el Miércoles por la noche de 6:00 p. m. a 8:00 p. m. en la funeraria Burgess, 1800 Charlotte Hwy, Lancaster, SC.
