LANCASTER, SC ~Mr. Johnny Franklin Helms, Jr., age 51, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at the Wayne T. Patrick House in Rock Hill, SC. He was born April 4, 1967 in Monroe, NC., the son of Johnny Franklin Helms, Sr. and Emma Jean Mullis Helms and the husband of Karra Toole Helms. Johnny was a Carpenter with C & R Handiworks and previously employed with Vernon Crenshaw Construction for 25 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, making others smile and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Johnny fought a courageous battle with cancer. He and his wife attended Haile Gold Mine Baptist Church.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Karra Toole Helms and a son of the home, Waylon Allen Helms; a son, Trenton Stanley Helms (Alexus); two daughters, Rae-leigh Alanna-Grace Helms, and Autumn Jewel Price; his father, Johnny Franklin Helms, Sr. (Joyce) of Jefferson, SC; his mother, Emma Jean Helms; two grandsons, Jaxson Dewayne Small and Gunnar Liam Ryder Helms; two brothers, Charles Helms (Robin) and Kyle Helms (Cyndi); two sisters, Anita Helms (Roger) and Michelle Miles; a brother-in-law, Matthew Toole (Tiffany); and father and mother-in-law, Daryl and Rhonda Toole.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Johnny will be 3:00 pm Friday, July 20, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Dale Walters.
