LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. John Maxwell "Max" Stogner, 70, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 16, 1949, a son of the late Jack Stogner and Nannie Hudson Stogner. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  Mr. Stogner enjoyed going to car shows with his brother, Gene, being outside, and camping at the beach.  He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Mr. Stogner is survived a daughter, Angela Stogner Starnes; a son, Bryan Maxwell Stogner; four grandchildren, Chase, Devin (Angel), Justin (Sarah), and Dylan Stogner; three great grandchildren, Astrid Nelson, Jaden Stogner, and Julia Stogner; and a brother, Gene Stogner.

Mr. Stogner was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Julia Faye Helms Stogner; his parents; a sister, Betty Jenkins; and a son-in-law, James Ronald Starnes.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Stogner will be 11:00 am Monday, August 10, 2020 at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Patrick Blackmon and Rev. Michael Carter.  He will be laid to rest beside the love if his life, his wife of 45 years, Faye Stogner.
