LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. John "Jack" Joseph Mullaney, age 81, of 663 Freemont Drive, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born May 1, 1928 in Bronx, New York; the son of the late Martin Joseph Mullaney and Frances Waas Mullaney and was the husband of Virginia Conrad Mullaney. Mr. Mullaney retired from Springs Industries and was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Mr. Mullaney is survived by his wife, Virginia Mullaney of the home, a son, Robert J. Mullaney of Fuquay Varina, NC, 4 daughters, Patti Bennett and her husband Bob, Jean Ghent and her husband Jeff, Lynn Khoury and her husband Owen, all of Lancaster; and Karen Carter and her husband Charles of Taylors, SC; a brother, Donald Mullaney of Dominican Republic, 12 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Mullaney will be 10:00 am, Saturday, January 23, 2010 at St. Catherine Catholic Church by Father David Runnion. Cremation will follow at Hartley Crematory. The Family of Mr. Mullaney will receive friends from 6:00- 8:00 pm Friday, January 22, 2010 at Hartley Funeral Home and in lieu of flowers suggest memorial contributions to Hospice Care of South Carolina, 412 N. White Street, Lancaster SC 29720 or St. Catherine Catholic Church.
