LANCASTER, SC :::::::::: Mr. John Davis "J.D." Taylor, age 77, died Friday, February 28, 2014 at CMC-Pineville. He was born May 14, 1936 in Lancaster, the son of John Davis Taylor, Sr. and Leila Whitaker Taylor and was the husband of Lois Raffaldt Taylor. Mr. Taylor retired from Morrison Textile Machinery Company, was a member the Joy Group and Camp Creek Baptist Church

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Lois Raffaldt Taylor of the home, two sons, Kenneth Taylor and his wife Decca of Waxhaw, NC and Joe Taylor and his wife Michelle of Lancaster, two daughters, Jullie Prentice and her special friend, Bruce Biamont of Wilmington, NC and Norma Cauthen of Heath Springs, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by three brothers, Howard Taylor, William Taylor and Charles Taylor and three sisters, Louise Roberts, Bernice Taylor and Carol Pardue.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Taylor will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Camp Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Randy Mellichamp and Rev. Jerry Hodge with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00 pm Wednesday in the church fellowship hall and suggest memorial contributions to Camp Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
