LANCASTER, SC – Mr. John Edward Humphries, age 74, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born March 11, 1950, in Charlotte, NC, son of the late George Griffin Humphries and Enola Billue Humphries and was the husband of the late Kim Adams Humphries. John graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina. He enjoyed all USC athletics, going to the beach and camping at Ocean Lakes, volunteering at his church, photography, computers, and watching his grandchildren play ball. John was a member of Second Baptist Church in Lancaster.

John is survived by his son, Christopher "Chris" Timmons; two grandchildren, Emma Timmons and Caden Timmons; and his mother-in-law, Betty Carol Adams.

John was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Kim Humphries; and his parents.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for John will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Lancaster Memorial Park.  The family will greet friends following at the graveside.
