LANCASTER, SC ::::::::::Mr. John Earl Crenshaw, age 82, of 2275 Lynwood Drive, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Springs Memorial Hospital. He was born August 4, 1926 in Lancaster County, the son of the late Edgar Furman Crenshaw and Bertha Mae Wright Crenshaw and was the husband of Joyce Baker Crenshaw. Mr. Crenshaw retired from Springs Industries, was a lifetime Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge, and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Mr. Crenshaw was survived by his wife, Joyce Baker Crenshaw of the home, a daughter, Mary Ann Adams and her husband Mike of Lancaster, 3 sisters, Mildred Haile, Edith Todd, and Diane Rhyner all of Lancaster, and a grandson, Jeff Adams.Mr. Crenshaw was preceded in death by a sister, Polly Helms.The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Crenshaw will be 2:00 pm Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Lancaster Memorial Park with burial to follow. The Family of Mr. Crenshaw will receive friends and Masonic Rites from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, February 27, 2009 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Grace United Methodist Church, PO Box 418, Lancaster, SC 29721.The Family will be at the home of his daughter, Mary Ann Adams, 1556 Zion Road, Lancaster SC 29720.
