LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Joel Dean Saylors, age 80, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019 at MUSC Health Lancaster.  He was born May 9, 1939 in Fort Mill, SC, a son of the late Holoman Joel Saylors and Mae Eller Saylors and was the husband of the late Amy McKinnon Saylors. Mr. Saylors served his country in the United States Air Force as Airman Second Class.  He loved flying and also had his private pilot's license.  Mr. Saylors was very interested in and talking about politics.  He was a multi-level marketing person who could sell anything.  Mr. Saylors loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed all the time he could spend with them.  Any time he was in Lancaster, he attended First Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Saylors is survived by his son, Randy Joel Saylors and his wife, Lisa; his daughter, Ashley Saylors; six grandchildren, Devin Saylors, Brandi Broome and her husband, Brad, Skylar, Natalie, Autumn, and Zackery; three great grandchildren, Destiney, Hailey, and Layla; a brother-in-law, Dick McKinnon and his wife, Donna; a sister-in-law, Kitty McKinnon Pruitt and her husband, Wayne; four nephews, Michael Trull, Darryl Trull, Chip McKinnon and his wife, Erica, and Cody Pruitt; and a niece, Kelsey Pruitt.

Saylors was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Amy Saylors; his parents; a brother, James Coleman Saylors; and a sister, Ola Saylors Trull.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Mr. Saylors will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Bethune, SC officiated by Rev. Edgar McCall.
