LANCASTER, SC –Mr. Joel "Rosey" Gid Fulton, age 74, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was born, February 22, 1949, in Monroe, NC, the son of the late John Gideon Fulton and the late Addie Blair Smith Fulton and was the loving husband of Debra Ann Adams Fulton. Rosey enjoyed woodworking, puzzles, reading, hot wheels, and watching wrestling and Walker Texas Ranger. He loved going to the drag strip, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Rosey was a cook at Sambos 903 grill for many years. He was always so friendly and never met a stranger.

Rosey is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debra "Deb" Fulton; his two sons, Chris Fulton, and Michael Fulton (Connie); five grandchildren, Skylar Rutledge, Melanie Fulton, Mackenzie Fulton, Troy Fulton, and William "Will" Fulton; two great-grandsons, Charlie and Tate Rutledge; two brothers, Lee Fulton (Evelyn), and Nathan "Doc" Fulton (Hattie); his sister, Margaret Starnes; and many special friends and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jackson Alexander Fulton; his parents, John and Addie Blair Fulton; a brother, Jimmy Fulton; and a sister, Sarah Plyler.

The Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00pm Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Mike Catoe. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm - 2:00pm, one hour prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
