INDIAN LAND, SC ~ Mr. Joseph W. Wilson, age 75, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021.   He was born June 21, 1946, in Chicago, IL, a son of the late Arthur Wilson and Julia Gronkowski Wilson and was the husband of Melanie Stancey Wilson.  Joe served in the United States Air Force as a crew chief on F-102 jet fighter airplanes.  He graduated Valedictorian from Roosevelt University with a degree in business administration.  Joe embarked on a long and distinguished career in sales and marketing.  At the end of his career, he owned and operated Terdeca America, a company that ran North American operations for an Italian corrugated roll manufacturer.  Joe resided in the Sun City Carolina Lakes Community and Spring Run Golf Club in Estero, Florida.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Melanie Wilson; and three brothers, Dennis Wilson (Donna), Richard Wilson (Ailyn), and Arthur Wilson (Gayle).

Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Wilson; and his sister, Arlene "Teri" White.

The Celebration of Life Service for Joe will be 10:00 am Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Deacon Bob Donofrio of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Monday, August 9, 2021, at Burgess Funeral Home.
