LANCASTER, SC ~ Joe Alexander (Andy) Shute, age 55, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at Piedmont Medical Center.  He was born December 25, 1963, a son of the late Thomas Howell Shute and Shirley Deese Shute. He was a great mechanic and a very talented man.  Andy loved his dogs.  At the request of the family, they want anyone who is struggling with addiction to please seek help.  Andy had great potential, however through a series of life choices, he chose substances that were harmful to his health and family.  "Addiction is a family disease. One person may use, but the whole family suffers".

Andy is survived by a niece, Brandy Shute Rhoney and her husband, Rico, and their three sons, Tahjion Rhoney, Ziyon Rhoney, and Malon Rhoney.

Andy is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Thomas Russell Shute and Stephen Martin Shute.
