LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Jody Lynn House, 42, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2019.  He was born July 22, 1976 in Lancaster, the son of Harold Joseph "Joe" House and Debra Ghent House.  Jody was a self-employed carpenter and worked in construction for more than 25 years. He enjoyed drag racing and was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church.

Jody is survived by his parents, Joe and Debbie House; a sister, Andrea Anita Boatwright and her husband, Roger of Rock Hill; niece and nephews, Zachary, William and Hannah Boatwright, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jody was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Frank and Annie Ruth Ghent of Lancaster and his paternal grandparents, Harold and Mary House of Georgia.

The Celebration of Life Service for Jody will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, July 6, 2019 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45pm at the funeral home and other times at the home.
