STATESVILLE, NC ~ Mr. Jody Crawford Adams, Sr., age 44, passed away due to an automobile accident, Monday, October 7, 2019 at Catawba Valley Medical Center.  He was born on December 3, 1974 in Lancaster, SC a son of the late Crawford Adams and Susie Paulette Broome Adams.  Jody loved riding his horse, Trixie and riding motorcycles.  He enjoyed going to flea markets and car shows.  Jody was an avid welder and fabricator and had his own shop called, Dirt Floor Customs.  He was employed full time with Earnhardt Grading, and he was truly grateful for the opportunity to work for them.

Jody is survived by two sons, Jody Crawford Adams, Jr. and Carson Corriher; a grandson, Sawyer Mitchell Adams; his girlfriend, Peggy Doran; two brothers, Tommy Adams (Maria) and Leon Adams; a sister, Tammy Roberts; and many nieces and nephews.

Jody was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Willie Roberts, Jr.; and a nephew, Mitchell Hilton.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Service for Jody will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 10, 2019 at Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Rev. Della Hunsucker.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 -8:00 pm Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC 29720 and other times at the home of his sister, Tammy Roberts.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Marine Corps League, Iredell County, Detachment 1097, PO Box 727, Troutman, NC 28166.
