LANCASTER, SC:::::::::::: Mrs. Susan JoAnne Sistare Sachs, age 64, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at her home. She was born January 5, 1944 in Lancaster, the daughter of the late John Dalton Sistare and Gladys Beachum Sistare and was the wife of Stuart M. Sachs. Mrs. Sachs was a Master Gardner, a volunteer with the Clemson Extension in Lancaster, and a member of Christ Episcopal Church where she served on the Alter Guild.Mrs. Sachs is survived by her husband, Stuart M. Sachs of the home, a son, Greg Bowers and his wife Angie of Lancaster, a daughter, Crystal Langley and her husband Joey of Columbia, a step daughter, Bethel Pate of Bulvurdi, Texas, 2 brothers, Marion Sistare and John Sistare both of Lancaster, a sister, Kathryn Dunlap of Sarasota, Florida, and 5 grandchildren, Jeremy Langley, Briana Langley, Megan Bowers, Matthew Bowers, and Dallas Pate.Mrs. Sachs was preceded in death by a brother, Quay Sistare.The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mrs. Sachs will be 11:00 am, Saturday morning, August 23, 2008 at Christ Episcopal Church by Priest Carol Anne Phillips Marshall.The Family of Mrs. Sachs will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Friday evening, August 22, 2008 at Hartley Funeral Home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Christ Episcopal Church, 534 Plantation Road, Lancaster, SC 29720 or the American Cancer Society, 128 Stonemark Drive, Columbia, SC 29210.
