LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Joan Wallace Sistare, age 84, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017. She was born January 28, 1933 in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Sim Wallace and Clara Denton Wallace and was the wife of the late John Henry Sistare. Mrs. Sistare retired from Springs Industries and enjoyed quilting. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and served in the church nursery as long as she was able. She deeply loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sistare is survived by a son, Gene Sistare and his wife, Janis; a daughter, Judy Sistare Glenn and her husband, Larry; a brother, Gene Wallace and his wife, Lib; eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Dayna, Adrena, Gene Bubba, Rachel, Rena, Jason, and Angie; and thirteen great-grandchildren, Hayley, Olivia, Henlee, Triston, Corey, Skylee, Jonathan, Chevy, Erin, Scotty, Pagan, Triston and Millie Joan.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Sistare will be 3:00 pm Friday, December 1, 2017 at Bethlehem Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Myers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Friday in the Family Life Center and suggest memorial contributions be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1841 N. Rocky River Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
