LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Joan Mildred Reimer Ficarrotta, age 78, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020 at Brookdale Assisted Living South Park. She was born January 29, 1942 in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Raymond Reimer and Wilhemina Hartard Reimer and was the wife of Vincent Ficarrotta. Mrs. Ficarrotta enjoyed working in her flowers, reading, and traveling.  She had numerous bird feeders and loved to watch her birds.  Her family was her all and she loved each of them dearly.

Mrs. Ficarrotta is survived by her husband of 62 years, Vincent Ficarrotta; two sons, Vincent J. Ficarrotta, and John Ficarrotta and his wife, Christine; her daughter, Diane Gileta and her husband, Steven; six grandchildren, Alessandra Young and her husband, Andrew, Steven Gileta, Sophia Ficarrotta, Olivia Ficarrotta, Anthony Ficarrotta, and Alex Ficarrotta; and a great grandchild, Abigail Joan Young and one on the way, Adalyn Young.

Mrs. Ficarrotta was preceded in death by her parents.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Ficarrotta will be private.  The family suggest memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829, Arlington, VA  22215.
