LANCASTER, SC – Mr. James "Jimmy" Lyttleton Robinson, age 75, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024. He was born June 27, 1948, the son of the late John P. Robinson and the late Emma Byrd Robinson Pitman and was the loving husband of Iris Rutledge Robinson. Mr. Robinson was an outstanding accountant and was in the industry for over 50 years. He was the founding partner of Robinson Blackmon Tax & Accounting. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His greatest joy in life was being "Paw Paw" to his six grandchildren. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, and golfing. You could often find Mr. Robinson watching Andy Griffith. Mr. Robinson was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Robinson is survived by his wife of 54 years, Iris Robinson; his son, Jim Robinson, and his wife Sarah of Fort Mill, SC, and their children, Kenneth and Aubrey; his daughter, Krystie Vance, and her husband, Jason of Cosby, TN, and their children, C.J., Gideon, Silas, and Zeke; his brother, Ernest R. "Rocky" Robinson (Barbara); and many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his two sisters, Peggy Ann Sigmon, and Jean Phillips.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Robinson will be 1:00 pm Friday, June 14, 2024 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Jason Vance and Rev. Tim Anderson. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Burgess Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to Immanuel Baptist Church, VBS, 1152 Great Falls Rd, Lancaster, SC 29720 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
