LANCASTER, SC – Mr. William "Ji" Eugene Powers, age 59, passed away January 27, 2025. He was born October 14, 1965, in Pageland, SC, a son of Nellie Ruth Threatt Powers and the late Boyce "Fed" Powers.  Ji was an outdoorsman who loved bailing hay, bush hogging and cutting grass. You could always find him on a tractor somewhere.

Ji is survived by his mother, Nellie Ruth Powers; his brother, James Powers; his three sisters, Dorothy Huffstickler, Beverly Hunter (Roger), and Barbara Gail Stevens (Jimmy); two special friends, Rick Ballard, and Kamil Nassrah; and many other special family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Boyce "Fed" Powers; his brother, Carl Timothy Powers; his sister, Charlona Powers Flynn; his nephew, Travis Danielle Powers; and sister-in-law, Jackie Powers.

The Celebration of Life Service for Ji will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Freedom Freewill Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Mitch Ingram. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow at High Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
