LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Jettie Grier Caskey, age 90, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022. She was born December 2, 1931, in Lancaster, a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland Grier, Jr. and the late Willie Elizabeth Stroud Grier and was the wife of the late Haskell Brown Caskey, Sr. Mrs. Caskey was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and loved taking care of others.

Mrs. Caskey is survived by her two sons, Haskell B. Caskey, Jr. (Ann) of Lancaster, and Phillip A. Caskey (Peppa) of Lugoff; two daughters, Cynthia C. "Cindy" Cauthen of Lancaster, and Yvonne C. Crenshaw (Rusty) of Fort Mill; six grandchildren, Eric Shawn Cauthen, Jeremy Ramsey Cauthen (Sara), Roddy Lee "Trey" Crenshaw, III, Justin Phillip Caskey (Lillian); Brett Anthony Caskey (April), and Kathryn Robin Caskey; six great-grandchildren, Gabriel Cauthen, Grace Crenshaw, Emma Crenshaw, Joanna Caskey, Vinny Caskey, and Zachary Cauthen; five brothers, Robert "Sonny" Grier, Bill Grier (Brenda), Thomas R. Grier (Janice), Wesley Grier (Rosalind), and Marshall Grier; four sisters, Barbara Hefley (James), Maxine Roof, Sandra Carnes, and Susan Maciaricello (Bob); and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Haskell Brown Caskey, Sr; her parents, Grover and Willie Grier; and two sisters, Bonnie Galloway, and Edria Payne.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mrs. Caskey will be 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 2, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Mitch Ingram. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.
