LANCASTER, SC :::::::: Mr. Jessie James Knight, Sr., age 90, died Thursday, September 25, 2014. He was born December 8, 1923 in Lancaster, the son of the late John Ray Knight and Dallas Mae Usher Knight. Mr. Knight retired from the State of South Carolina and was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He enjoyed farming, the outdoors and spoiling his grandchildren.

Mr. Knight is survived by a son, Jessie Knight of Lancaster, a sister, Betty Lou Caldwell of Florida, three grandchildren, Jessie Shannon Knight, Christopher Corey Knight and Jessica Nicole Knight Cook, and five great grandchildren, Dillon Christian Knight, Krista Haylee Knight, Brady James Cook, Kaylie Dallas Knight and Rylan Christopher Knight.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Funeral Service for Mr. Knight will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Heather Humphries.

The Family of Mr. Knight will receive friends immediately following the service and suggest memorial contributions be made to Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
