LANCASTER, SC Mr. Jessie JC Clifton Vaughn, age 81, died Friday, March 3, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville. He was born on December 22, 1935 in Bishopville SC, a son of the late Clifford Lee Vaughn and Jessie Faye Brazell Vaughn, and was the husband of Ivalee Virginia Wright Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn retired from Springs Industries as a Textile Loom Mechanic. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, cars, and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and friend.

Mr. Vaughn was a member of Springdell Baptist Church. He was a fifty year Mason with Jackson Masonic Lodge #53 and a Shriner.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by his wife Ivalee Virginia Wright Vaughn; two sons, Donald Vaughn and his wife Patti and David Vaughn and his wife Beth, all of Lancaster; four brothers, Wylie Gene Vaughn and his wife Acelia, Hazel Jackson Vaughn and his wife Connie, and Timothy Lee Vaughn; five grandchildren, Christy Vaughn, Donald Clifton Vaughn, Jr. and his wife Laurie, Jason Lee Vaughn and his wife Jill, Hunter Noelle Vaughn and Jake Landon Vaughn; eight great grandchildren, Chaney Elizabeth Steen, Lauren Olivia Steen, Grayson Oliver Vaughn, Emily Virginia Vaughn, Christian McGowan Vaughn, Ava Jane Vaughn, Patrik Aaden Vaughn, and Joseph Lynch Vaughn.

Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by a brother, George Lee Vaughn.
The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Mr. Vaughn will be 3:00 pm Sunday, March 5, 2017 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home, by Rev. Donald Tillman. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 5, 2017, prior to the service at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Highway, Lancaster, SC and suggest memorial contributions be made to Springdell Baptist Church, 1420 Springdell Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
