McAulay
Jan 27, 1951 — Oct 6, 2026
Lancaster SC
LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Jerry Sigmon McAulay, 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the comfort and familiarity of the place he loved.
Mr. McAulay was born on January 27, 1951, in Huntersville, North Carolina, to the late Wilburn Allen McAulay and the late Johnsie Mae Sigmon McAulay. In 1996, Jerry and his beloved wife, Patricia, made their home in Lancaster, where he devoted his life to farming.
Mr. McAulay found happiness in the simple things in life. He loved being outdoors, tending to his farm, and especially caring for his cows. A true homebody, he was happiest at home, taking care of his animals and enjoying the quiet moments of everyday life. His farm was more than a place of work; it was a place where he found purpose, peace, and contentment.
Most of all, Jerry loved his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather. His family was the most important part of his life, and the love he had for them was evident in the many ways he cared for and provided for them. His steady presence, kind heart, and unwavering love will remain treasured memories for those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Mr. McAulay leaves behind his beloved wife and the love of his life of 50 years, Patricia Nix McAulay; his daughter, Ashley McAulay Morris (Daniel); his son, Brannon Luke McAulay; four grandchildren, Brannon Luke McAulay, Jr., Jessica Anne McAulay, Evelyn Anne Morris, and Hannah Noelle Morris; and two sisters, Elaine McAulay Reeder and Jeanette McAulay Brown.
In addition to his mother, Johnsie Mae Sigmon McAulay, Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Allen McAulay, and his brother, Allen Douglas McAulay.
Though his passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, Jerry’s memory will live on through his family, the life he built, and the love he so freely gave. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
A private Celebration of Life Service will be held for Mr. McAulay at his home.
