LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Jerry Stephen Langley, age 71, entered into eternal rest peacefully on July 8, 2026. Born in Lancaster, South Carolina, on November 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Joe Thomas Langley and the late Carolyn Sims Langley. Jerry shared a beautiful love story with his beloved wife, Wanda Eubanks Langley, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion over 45 years of marriage.

Jerry was a true craftsman with a remarkable work ethic. A lifelong carpenter, he owned and operated his own construction business for many years, taking great pride in every project he completed. His hands built more than homes, they built a legacy of hard work, integrity, and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew him.

While he loved his work, Jerry found his greatest happiness in the people and simple pleasures that surrounded him. He enjoyed hunting, tending to his vegetable garden, watching the hummingbirds gather around his home, and caring for his faithful companions, Annie and Eddie. An enthusiastic reader with an endless curiosity, Jerry read more than 2,000 books throughout his lifetime. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making everyone feel like an old friend. Whether sharing stories, offering a helping hand, or simply enjoying a conversation, Jerry's kind heart and welcoming spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Above all else, Jerry was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a loyal friend. His family was the greatest blessing of his life, and nothing brought him more joy than spending time with those he loved. His gentle strength, generous heart, and steadfast love will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 45 years, Wanda Eubanks Langley; his son, Jeremy Langley (Kim); his daughter, Amanda Ashley (Sean); his cherished grandchildren, Callen Wallace, Avery Ashley, Nathan Hudson, and Ethan Langley; his sisters, Denise Knight (Gene), Jodi Pittman (George), and Susan Langley; and his lifelong friend, Carl "Dip" Rollins.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Langley.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Burgess Funeral Home.
