LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Jerry Dean Helgeson, age 65, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022, at his home. He was born July 26, 1956, in Xenia, OH, a son of Marcella Rutherford Helgeson and the late Eugene Helgeson and was the husband of Bobbi Ann Pfahlert Helgeson.  Jerry retired from a career of over 30 years in Aviation management and sales.  Golfing was his passion and had been since childhood as he grew up on the golf course as his backyard. He was a very active neighbor in his community at Edgewater where he loved being outdoors. Whether he was golfing, boating, jet skiing, or just riding around on his golf cart, he always enjoyed being a part of the community. Jerry also enjoyed playing cards and board games with family and friends. His family was his world, and he loved every moment he could spend with them, including his fur baby, Shadow. Jerry was a member of Douglas Presbyterian Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Bobbi Ann; his daughter, Ashley; his son, Robert (Krystene); his mother, Marcella; three brothers, David (Sandy), Steve, and Chris (Jeanne); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Eugene.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Jerry will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Douglas Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Mia Levetan.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 – 11:00 am, two hours prior to the service, in the church sanctuary. For those who wish, memorials may be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720.
