LANCASTER, SC:::::::Mr. Jerry Roscoe Cauthen, age 74, went to be with the Lord. He was born December 19, 1942 in Lancaster, the son of the late Joseph Roscoe Cauthen and Juanita Starnes Cauthen. Mr. Cauthen was the husband of Donna McManus Cauthen and the late Brenda Williams Cauthen. He retired from Springs Industries as Maintenance Supervisor. He loved fishing, the mountains, cutting grass, dirt track racing, spending time with his grandchildren and shag dancing. Mr. Cauthen enjoyed singing karaoke and having a good time. He was a humble and kind man and loved by everyone. He was a member of Liberty Freewill Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and previously served as Deacon at Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Cauthen is survived by his wife, Donna McManus Cauthen; four sons, David Scott Cauthen and his wife, Kim, Darrell Lewis Cauthen, James Wesley Threatt and his wife, Nicole, and Steven Jay Threatt all of Lancaster; and six grandchildren, Crystal Sue Cauthen, Amber Sinclair Cauthen, Trevor Roscoe Cauthen, Brook Fallon Cauthen, Layla Jade Threatt and Ganson Cole Threatt.

Mr. Cauthen was preceded in death by his parents, and his first wife, Brenda Williams Cauthen.

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Mr. Cauthen will be 3:00 pm Friday, December 30, 2016 at Liberty Freewill Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Larrimore, Rev. Randy Mellichamp and Rev. Kelvin Hinson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 3:00pm Friday at the church and suggest memorial contributions be made to Liberty Freewill Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 2094, Lancaster, SC 29721 or Camp Creek Baptist Church Youth Fund, 998 Potter Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
