LANCASTER, SC – Mr. Jerrod Dillon Simpson, age 43, passed away Monday, September 5, 2022. He was born November 27, 1978, in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Johnny D. Simpson and was the husband of Audrey Maroti. Jerrod's passion was his music. He played guitar, sang, and wrote his own music. Jerrod enjoyed going to the mountains. He was a family man who loved being with his wife and his son, who was his world. Jerrod was a member of Catawba Baptist Church.

Jerrod is survived by his wife, Audrey Maroti; his son, Jayden Simpson; a brother, Matthew Simpson; two sisters, Jennifer Mackin and Megan Simpson; and a host of special nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The Celebration of Life Service for Jerrod will be 2:00 pm Saturday, September 24, 2022, at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.
