LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Jeraline Bright Bailey , age 89, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021.  She was born May 28, 1931 in Perquimans County, NC, a daughter of the late Willie Elmer Bright and Emma Harrell Ange and was the wife of the late Claude Allen Bailey, Sr. Mrs. Bailey retired from Springs Industries. She enjoyed reading, loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved her church family.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by two daughters, Brenda B. Haile of Lancaster and Nancy B. Baker (Michael) of Deerborn, MI; two sons, Richard Allen Bailey of Hartsville and Claude Allen Bailey, Jr. (Jenny) of Lancaster; two brothers, Raymond R. Harvell of Portsmouth, VA and Willard Harvell (Ann) of Corapeake, NC; four grandchildren, Clint Haile, Katrina Connell, Andrea Solak and Shawn Baker (Melissa); and five great grandchildren, Travis Baker, Reid Baker, Gabby Scott, Alex Scott and Carrigan Solak.

Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a son in law, Eddie Haile; two brothers, William Calvin Harvell and Curtis Ange; a sister, Laura Virginia Gay and a sister-in-law, Carolyn Harvell.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Bailey will be 3:00 pm Monday, March 29, 2021 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Clyde Hardin.  Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00, one hour prior to the service, at Burgess Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, PO Box 1116, Lancaster, SC 29721.
