LANCASTER, SC ~ Mr. Jeffery Trent Gleaton, age 61, passed away at his home Saturday, August 25, 2018. He was born June 30, 1957, a son of the late Cecil Lamar Gleaton and Frances Robertson Gleaton and the husband of Dawn Maples Gleaton. Jeff enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a very laid-back kind of guy who would help anyone in need. Jeff was a wonderful husband, father and brother and loved his family unconditionally. He loved being with his children and they were his world.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 17 years, Dawn Gleaton; his daughter, Mallorie Taylor Gleaton; three sons, Tyler Trent Gleaton, Justin Wayne Gleaton and Devin Wayne Gleaton; two brothers, Cecil Gleaton (Myra) and Dennis Gleaton; three sisters, Sandra Catoe (Carol), Wanda Armstrong (Keith) and Karon Luddy (Tom); his brother-in-law, Jerry W. Maples, II (Rhonda); eleven nieces and nephews; and fourteen great nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; a sister-in-law, Brenda Gleaton; and two nephews, Hal Williams and Keith Edward Armstrong, Jr.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Jeff will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at The Chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by Rev. Gene Baker. Burial will follow at Lancaster Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 8:00 pm Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Burgess Funeral Home, 1800 Charlotte Hwy., Lancaster, SC.
